FinOps Implementation QA is the most direct expression of the finops.qa model: applying QA discipline to validate what others build.
Engagement Phases
Acceptance Criteria Design
Co-design acceptance criteria with the client and implementation vendor. Define pass/fail thresholds for every implemented control.
Independent Testing
Run full FQAF test suite against the implementation. Every test is conducted independently of the implementation vendor.
Verification & Certificate
Deliver test results, defect register with vendor attribution, remediation verification, and FinOps QA Certificate of Acceptance.
Deliverables

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you work with the implementation vendor during the QA?
We co-design acceptance criteria with the vendor at the start. After that, testing is fully independent. Defects found are attributed to the vendor in the defect register, but our role is to serve the client — not to arbitrate between client and vendor.
What if the implementation has significant defects?
We document every defect with evidence, severity classification, and financial impact. The client decides what remediation to require from the vendor. We can re-test after remediation and issue the Certificate of Acceptance when criteria are met.
